UNODC marks its 20th anniversary
Celebrating 20 years of UNODC
Drugs, crime, corruption and terrorism are global challenges threatening the lives of millions. Today, no country can face these challenges alone and succeed.
Since its foundation in 1997 through a merger between the United Nations Drug Control Programme and the Centre for International Crime Prevention, UNODC has stood by nations to help them strengthen justice, promote the rule of law and protect the weak and vulnerable.
UNODC is a global leader in the fight against illicit drugs and international crime, operating in all regions of the world through an extensive network of field offices.
This year, UNODC marks its two-decade anniversary, remaining steadfast to achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development by strengthening international cooperation against global crime, and delivering effective local solutions.
